The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is proud to announce the Capital Area Prisoner Reentry Initiative (CAPRI). This program is designed to empower individuals reentering society after incarceration by providing them with critical resources and support.

CAPRI works through a dedicated ReEntry Coordinator who will:

  • Build a Strong Support Network: Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and employers to connect clients with essential services like job training, education, and housing.

  • Facilitate Seamless Reintegration: Coordinate information sharing and collaboration amongst all stakeholders involved in the reentry process.

  • Promote Community Awareness: Educate the public about the challenges faced by those reentering society and the importance of successful reintegration.

  • Track Progress and Improve Outcomes: Analyze data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and make ongoing improvements to CAPRI.

  • Empower Individuals: Assist clients with finding employment, developing job search skills, and accessing educational opportunities.

  • Organize ReEntry Job Fairs and other Clinics: Plan and coordinate events that provide ongoing services and information to individuals reentering society.
